According to Studies from the United States, sleeping with night lights are likely to spread breast cancer

Sleeping with night light will inhibit the secretion of melatonin from the brain. Cancer cells will transferr to bones more easily.
Sleeping with night light has been proven to inhibit the secretion of melatonin in the brain, triggering a reduction in the body's immune function, have the stimulation of breast cancer cells to develop resistance. A recent study in the United States, in mice by experiments, found that the tibia was implanted in human breast cancer cells, if the whole body is in the light, the tumor will grow significantly larger and the bones will be larger damage as well. The team concluded that if breast cancer patients are exposed to light at night, cancer cells may be move to the bones more easily.

The research has published at the annual meeting of the American Endocrine Society
This preliminary study was funded by the Louisiana Clinical and Translation Science Center (LACATS), the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium (LCRC), and the Tulane University Center for Day and Night Physiology, and the results were published on 23-26 from Annual Meeting of the American Endocrinology Society (ENDO) in Olhao City. The research team created female mice with bone metastatic breast cancer, which are no different from humans, and the melatonin secreted in the body is also strongly affected by physiological clock changes. Melatonin has been shown to have anti-cancer effects and improve sleep.
The research team injected estrogen receptor-positive human breast cancer cells into the tibia of the rats, and kept all the rats in the light for 12 hours every day, and then let the three of them in the dark for 12 hours, stimulating them to produce more Multiple endogenous melatonin; the other three were exposed to faint light for 12 hours to inhibit melatonin production. The team pointed out that the illuminance of the faint light is 0.2 lux, which is weaker than the night light and the light of the mobile phone display.
Muralidharan Anbalagan, an assistant professor at the University of Tulane Medical School, explained that X-ray images showed that rats exposed to standard light/faint light all day long compared to experimental mice in a clear/dark environment. Large tumors and skeletal injuries are also more serious. He pointed out that the study established the importance of a complete nocturnal physiological clock melatonin anticancer signal in inhibiting the formation of bone metastatic breast cancer. The team will then do its best to find ways to mitigate this shift. The faint light at night can cause physiological clock disorder.

Anbaragan stressed that this is the first time that studies have found that the weak light at night will lead to physiological clock disorder, which will increase the chance of bone metastatic breast cancer. He believes that the research results have a considerable degree of warning because many breast cancer patients may be exposed to light due to stress, lack of sleep, use of mobile devices or work at night.

According to statistics from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), there are more than 150,000 women with breast cancer in the United States in 2017. Cancer cells spread beyond the breast and often enter the bones with severe pain and bone fragility.
